The marriage referendum prompted me to look at how to get married in Ireland. The administration and bureaucracy is crazy! It is administered by the HSE, and there is a lot of information online it is very hard to decipher.

Solution

Ready for ideas!

Could we:

• Make an app or website to assist people to understand the information online
• Liberate the information online (turn excel file of 5800 records into something useful)
• Could also bring in licensed/registered wedding venues – this is data that councils might hold

Research

There are also lists of approved “solemnisers” in Excel format. It’s got 5800 records – and not that useful. I’ve uploaded to Google Docs here and tidied a bit
